A Letter from the JoMUN Founder and SG
A Letter from the JoMUN Founder and SG It gives us great pleasure to welcome you all to the official website of Jordan Model United Nations (JoMUN). Our first winter conference will be held from the 11th until the 14th of November 2015. This conference will be under the theme “Abolishing Moderation” which targets the issue of our world having no place for moderates any more, and that all conflicts are between groups of extremists, yet the moderates pay the bill.
We also believe that the main issues we are facing in our world today do not only concern people of different race, religion or origin but also moderates and extremists. MUN is an ideal opportunity for young students to delve into the world of politics and international relations. Being a simulation of the United Nations, students get to explore and draw attention to the different issues our world is facing; by researching, debating and ultimately negotiating solutions to them. This will not only increase awareness of such problems but it will also equip the students with confidence and oratory skills needed to be great leaders in the future.
Whether you are a beginner or experienced delegate, we will welcome you with open arms. With our dedicated secretariat, friendly and energetic chairs and eye opening theme and topics, we promise you that it will be a unique and unforgettable experience. I hope that you will all be able to join us at our second conference.
